Group Profile

Aaron is an active 5 year old who enjoys playing outside and playing video games.  He also loves super heros and sports, and seems to need guidance and attention.  Aaron is entering kindergarten and is developmentally on target  He is very attached to his sister and would need to be placed in a home with his siblings.

Alec who is 9 enjoys outdoor activities.  He loves to go fishing, ride his bike, and play football.  Alec also enjoys playing outside with his friends and going on family outings.  He needs a lot of positive reinforcement to help him build his self-esteem.  Alec is hard on himself if he does something wrong, and usually reacts by being emotional.  He does need someone that can help him and devote time to work with him on his school work.  Recently Alec has been doing well interacting with school teachers and students.  He can become easily frustrated if something goes wrong.  This is being addressed and has improved through counseling.  He is bonded with his siblings as well.

Shyanne is a 13 year old who enjoys typical adolescent girl activities such as going shopping, swimming, watching reality television shows, and hanging out with friends.  She likes make-up, clothes, and other girly things.  At times, Shyanne can be out spoken and sometimes emotional.  She does need help learning how to form peer relations.  Like her younger brother she needs time and attention with her school work and can easily give up if something seems to frustrate her.

Desired Family

The best family for Shyanne, Alec, and Aaron would be a family environment where there would be a lot of love, affection, and especially attention for these children.  The right family for these children would be a family only interested in keeping the siblings together.  Alec is currently placed in a different foster home, however, the plan is to reunite the children in an adoptive home.  Alec and Shyanne have a difficult time getting along; however, this is usual or typical sibling fights.  Even though at times they do not get along they are still very attached to each other and will need dedicated adoptive parents who will help them grow closer and interact better.  Shyanne, Alec, and Aaron need positive activities to help them build their confidence, a home that would be extremely patient and attentive to their needs, and a home that would be structured and active for the livliness and fun that seems to never stop.  Could you be the family for these siblings who have been waiting to call someone mom or dad?
